Synchronicity Happens

What are the odds of this? A few days back I rediscovered Emmylou Harris’ 1995 albumĀ Wrecking Ball, which was produced by Daniel Lanois, and have been listening to it a lot. I posted a live version of one of the songs last week. Then today I read that the album is being reissued, in just a few days, and that Ms Harris is touring with Mr Lanois to promote it.

This is great stuff; this album bears Daniel Lanois’ trademark multitextured atmospheric complexity, while Emmylou’s vocals reach deep into the American Celtic soul.
