This surprises me- what’s with the swath of Eastern Europe? And I thought Islamic countries, under Shariah Law, automatically had a noblese oblige that paid for health care for the poor?
I think the general trend is that third world countries cant afford universal health care. Obamacare won’t change that — we’ll just be a third world country with a broken universal health care system (even more broken than the current system, that is).
Since the Pentagon is paying for Univeral health care for Iraq and Afgan citizens. Sooo, somebody explain to me why citizens of the U.S. can not have universal health care ? Hmmmm, maybe because in effect the monopoly on healthcare will be broken in this country and costs will come down.
Universal healthcare IS a monopoly, what are you talking about?
Universal healthcare intends to be a monopoly, but on many places you have to pay the universal healthcare (taxes) and then pay a private insurance.
Here (Argentina) the statist president has just been operated on a private (and very expensive) clinic (she wouldn’t ever risk going to a public hospital)
