Okay, as unbelievable as this is, if you go to You Tube and play it there a whole bunch of other parts of this thing appear….Lord have mercy:

Yep, this is the one with the Roller Skating Circus Angels. I sure wish I spoke enough Spanish to know if this is even a Catholic Church.
Later in the event there is a procession with a monstrance with a host, so yeah, I’d say this is Catholic….
Could be Anglican, Lutheran, Reformed Dutch, or Orthodox with a monstrance.
Spanish won’t help you, as this is in Aparecida, Brazil, the biggest Marian pilgrimage site on the world (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basilica_of_the_National_Shrine_of_Our_Lady_of_Aparecida)
I see things like this and think maybe those SSPX radicals were right about Vatican II, but then I remember things like the Goliards http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goliard and know that the good old days weren’t so good. What could be more traditional than this occasional over the top mockery of the liturgy? The only difference is this seems to be well intentioned rather than explicitly sacreligious.
That’s Aparecida? Now I know.

This is the most beautiful song about Our Lady that I know. Romaria. Many is the night I sat in a catholic cult and picked along as we sang.
That song makes my entire time in that situation worth it though. Just that song alone, much less the faces of the friends I made along the way
So, Daniel, I give this song back to you, in a gesture of friendship. In return for the example you set for me.
Found a better video of Romaria here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=KwkjS_OXbX8
I would be honoured if you ever shared it with your audience. It touches the life of this worthless sinner valued by God. I think it might some other folks too.
They were having a western mass and the circus appeared?!!!
Monstrance is particular to Western Catholic liturgy…
From liturgical innovation and irreverent, heretical “anything goes” worship, Lord God deliver us!
The Mass…. Bread and Circuses?
