I have a weekly column-sort-of-thing called The Sunday Night Journal on my website (which I resolutely resist calling a blog) . A few months ago I decided that every 2nd Sunday the subject would be music, mainly just because I enjoy writing about it and thought I would make it a habit. This week’s is a bit off-topic–although it’s about John Lennon’s "Imagine," it’s more about the political views revealed in the song than about its artistic merits. If that interests you, please check it out.

By the way, I clicked on your Heart and Mind link and it took my to a dating service. I am assuming an error was made? Thought you might like to know.
Ack! Yes indeed, “an error was made”–I left out the dashes in “heart-and-mind”. I thought I’d tested those links. Thanks very much for pointing it out.
“Imagine” was picked for our high school “class song” to be sung by the class at our graduation in the middle 80′s. A small minority of us protested (of course protests from the right are always squashed) because we did view the words as a promotion of communist ideals.

[groan]…but good for you protestors.
